RevWood Premier features Signature Imprint Technology (SIT) which has reset the standard for the realism and texture of wood laminate. Having seen the new flooring, we couldn?t agree more.
SIT incorporates 64 layers (compared to 4 in the vast majority of laminate wood floors) of design data and up to 1,000 colors per square inch into each plank, making the planks almost indistinguishable from natural hardwood. The technology captures natural designs by scanning, cataloging and preserving the detail and variety common to each wood species. The data is then transferred to a flooring plank. The variety and detail of these natural features are often lost in the low-fidelity digital conversions that currently make up the flooring industry standard.
It's Also About the Texture
After capturing all that data, the process continues with the application of texturing in the wear layer to match the characteristics of the wood pattern and graining in the underlying image. Using exclusive press-plate technology and manufacturing methods, Mohawk ensures the texture matches the natural marks you find in wood including the knots, splits and mineral lines. The last piece of the equation is its high-definition Clarity finish, which produces a higher resolution across a broader spectrum of colors. The results are simply stunning!
It's Waterproof and Highly Durable
RevWood Premier laminate wood floors also feature a combination of exclusive technologies to give you 100% waterproof protection. The Uniclic locking system, GenuEdge pressed bevel edge and HydroSeal perimeter coating, create the RevWood Premier waterproof technology. These floors can be wet mopped and steam mopped, something you won?t find in most laminate wood floors.
RevWood?s waterproof technology is called WetProtect, which encompasses the technologies above. The waterproofing on RevWood Premier is so good, Mohawk offers a Lifetime Surface and Subfloor warranty. You won?t find that great a warranty on other laminate woods or vinyl flooring.
Like other RevWood collections, RevWood Premier is extremely durable. The 3 collections ? Miramar Shores, Morena Bluffs and Palm City ? feature a 12mm thick plank with an AC4 rating. That means the floors will stand up to just about anything you throw at them. You?ll find RevWood Premier to be as much as 4X more scratch resistant than most laminate woods and vinyl floors.
